Associate Professor Georgina Barton works in the School of Teacher Education and Early Childhood at the University of Southern Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. She has experience as a Program Director and lectures in English and literacy education. Previous to this role Georgina taught in schools for over 20 years including teaching English in South India. She has experience as an Acting Principal, Lead Teacher in literacy and numeracy and has been responsible for whole school literacy planning. She also has extensive experience in teaching the Arts from Prep-Year 12 and in tertiary contexts. Contact.

Dr Kay Hartwig is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. She has experience lecturing in music and music education and teacher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Previously Kay has taught music from prep to year 12 in various school settings. Kay is also the Director of Internationalisation for the school and chairs the internationalisation committee. Through this position she works with international students from application to graduation, promotes study abroad opportunities for domestic students, manages the international visiting scholar program and manages short courses for international cohorts of students. Dr Melissa Cain is a lecturer at the Australian Catholic University. She is an educator and musician with a passion for South East Asian and Pacific musics. She has qualifications in music, education, Indonesian, and ethnomusicology, and studied Javanese and Sundanese gamelan while resident in Singapore for 20 years. Melissa’s doctoral work explored the ways that philosophy, policy, teacher training, and curriculum documents effect practice in the music classroom. Her current research interests include culturally diverse arts education, music and health intersections, international education, and assessment in music in conservatoire settings. Melissa is a researcher and lecturer in Arts education at the University of Queensland and Griffith University. Contact.

Dr Dawn Bennett is John Curtin Distinguished Professor with Curtin University in Australia. Her research is focused on developing employability within higher education learning and teaching, including identity development and graduate work. A Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an Australian Learning and Teaching Fellow, Dawn is a regular reviewer and speaker in Australia and overseas. Contact.

Ms Sonia Ferns (PhD Candidate, MEd, Bed) Sonia is leading the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) strategic project at Curtin University. She currently represents WA on the Board of Directors for the Australian Collaborative Education Network and is Chair of the WA Chapter. Sonia is an active researcher in WIL and is leading or a team member of several OLT projects.

​Dr Dawn Joseph is an Associate Professor in Arts Education at Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia). Dawn researches, publishes and reviews in national and international journals in the area of music education, teacher education, multiculturalism, African music, community music, spirituality and music, and ageing and wellbeing in the arts. She is immediate past Chair of the Australian Society for Music Education (Victorian Chapter) and has been a National Committee member of this peak organisation (2003-2014). Contact.

Dr Liz Jones is currently Director of Organisational Psychology training at Griffith University.  She completed her undergraduate degree at University of New England and University of Queensland before completing her PhD at University of Queensland.  She has been working in the School of Applied Psychology since 2001.  She is currently Director of the Organisational Psychology programs and is Chair of the Intergroup Communication Interest group for the International Communication Association.  She is also on the Executive of the International Association of Language and Social Psychology. Dr Marleen Westerveld, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in Speech Pathology in the School of Allied Health Sciences at Griffith University and holds a senior adjunct research fellowship in the School of Education, Health, and Human Development at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. She is a member of the Griffith Institute for Educational Research and an Associate Editor for Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools. Dr Westerveld's scholarly research focuses on preparing higher education students to successfully enter the workplace.  Contact.

​Dr Anna Podorova is an Language and Literacy Development Advisor in the Faculty of Education, Monash University. She has extensive language teaching experience in Australian and overseas contexts. Her research focuses on cultural identity, intercultural communication, the use of English as an international language and post-entry English language proficiency development in tertiary settings. Anna’s current work involves projects on improving international students’ placement experiences in Australian contexts and developing integrated academic language development resources for academics and students in Australian universities.  Contact.

Dr Marilyn Campbell is a professor at the Queensland University of Technology. She is a registered teacher and a registered psychologist. Her main clinical and research interests are the prevention and intervention of anxiety disorders in young people and the effects of bullying, especially cyberbullying in schools. Contact.

Ms Ingrid Larkin leads a number of real-world learning and work-integrated initiatives in QUT Business School, particularly in public relations, advertising, and marketing. Her contributions are recognised by a number of awards. Dr Erin O’Connor is a registered Psychologist and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She serves her school as Director of Academic Programs and Chair of the Learning and Teaching Committee. Dr Donna Tangen is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Cultural and Professional Learning, Faculty of Education, QUT, teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Her research interests include transnational/ international pre-service teaching and teacher training, internationalisation in higher education, and issues pertaining to inclusive education. ​Dr Marie Kavanagh is based in the School of Commerce at the University of Southern Queensland (Springfield campus).  She leads the accounting education research group in her School, is passionate about innovation and change in teaching and a quality experience for students involved in work experience programs in business, commerce, and law.   Marie's research interests are in the areas of accounting and business education involving the use of technology; sustainable business; and the management of organisational change. Marie was recognised by the ALTC with national awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2006 and 2007.  Since 2007 she has been involved in seven OLT (previously ALTC) projects as both a project leader and project team member.
